  Christmas at the Lodge

  Last year our family (children and grandchildren) and my brother and his children spent 3 days at the cabin. Three of the grandchildren were 4 and every day, asked if they had to go home yet. They now believe this is a yearly event since we went this year again starting on Christmas; same crew plus new grandbaby. The 5 year olds are now convinced that this is the perfect and expected Christmas gift. They get to sit at the game table and help with dominos, they get their names on the football game boards, they sled with the help of two older second cousins and generally feel like grownups. The 2 year old now follows along like a baby duckling. Awesome time to really connect again with the most important people in our lives. As a side note, my brother was in a horrific boat accident in Sept 2008 and our first trip to the cabin was literally the first time he could sleep at night. I don't think we could have had Christmas again without he and his boys going to the cabin. It truly is a peaceful time.

  We had a great, 3 family vacation. We all would like to go back to Lk Kachess Lodge -the lake itself was gorgeous and surprisingly warm. Can't say enough here. Kevin was exceptional to plan with.

  Lake Kachess Lodge Review

  It was great to find a place that could hold 13 people. There was plenty of bedroom and living room space, however I wished the table could seat more people. The 2 single chairs in the livingroom weren't comfortable and took up a lot of space. It would be better to have a small couch there. I also didn't like having to take home my extra bags of garbage, especially for the price we paid to stay there each night which I felt was a bit pricey. The location is nice, since you are on the lake. The snowmobile trail was located down further than we had hoped but it was still accessible. We had to give the engines time to cool off, since we had to ride on pavement for about a mile, before we went on to the snowpark. All in all we had a nice Christmas and the place worked out well.

  It is a nice place, but there is no "beach". Lots of down trees that should be cleared away, then there would be room to put a chair or two by the bank. Great company to work with and the home is beautiful, not to mention, stocked with all the things you need, not just bear bones.

  Hey Chris, Thanks for the review! We appreciate you staying with us. As the Lake receeds during the summer there is more of a beach area. The water is high right now and the lake does collect drift wood around it's edges. Thanks again! Kevin & Wendie
